California Quarterly Statewide Meeting: Resource Parents as Partners in the Courts

Resource parents are a key source of firsthand information to judges who are trying to make sound decisions in the child’s best interests. However, fewer than half of resource parents in a recent QPI survey had ever spoken in court or submitted written information, and many were uncertain if their participation in the court process is valued. At this CA QPI Quarterly Meeting, we will discuss challenges and potential solutions to ensure that resource parents are full partners in the courts.
